The conclusion of this challenging chapter marked the inception of a new era.

In 2016, the eldest son, Hugo Gomes, who had been residing abroad until then, made the decision to return to Portugal with his family. This marked the commencement of a new chapter for SG, characterized by the introduction of novel materials, the expansion of the product portfolio, and the pursuit of innovative technological avenues. However, Hugo's ambitions extended beyond these transformations. Recognizing the need to stay abreast of market trends, he determined that the company required a fresh image and a contemporary name.

Shortly before the onset of the pandemic, SG welcomed another talent: Ana Rita Gomes, the youngest daughter, who joined the company to spearhead technical designs and product design projects. Through her precision and commitment to quality control, SG embarked on an extensive internationalization process, exploring new horizons and markets. In 2020, in a bid to compete with other global entities, SG-Foam Solutions underwent further modernization, acquiring new facilities and solidifying its position as a benchmark in the industry worldwide.

This marks a pivotal moment for us. Recognizing the significance of undertaking projects beyond borders and the imperative of investing in technological modernization, we've acquired new processing equipment. This positions us to cater to an expanded clientele and diversify across various sectors. Additionally, we've revamped our communication strategy on social networks and the web, sharing our story in a more intimate manner. Concurrently, efforts are underway to implement the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. As we step into 2024, we are poised to author new chapters in our journey.
