TECHNOLOGY

Industrial precision applied to protection, from specification to final cut.

Each project goes through a defined technical process: selecting materials, choosing the right cutting technology and validating the result. Five technologies available in our own facilities.

Our transformation technologies

Water jet cutting

"Every millimeter has a function."

High-precision cutting technology that uses a pressurized water jet to cut foams and technical materials with minimum tolerances. Ideal for complex geometries, outside-to-inside cuts and materials that cannot tolerate heat. It allows precise cutting in Plastazote®, Evazote®, Microlen and PEAB28 (among others), with a clean finish and without deforming the material.

CNC cutting

"Perfect repeatability, series after series."

Computerized numerical control milling for variable depth cuts, cavities and three-dimensional profiles. Suitable for series production projects that require millimetre consistency in each part. Compatible with most materials in the portfolio.

Lamination 01

The process of adding a pressure-sensitive adhesive to a substrate, such as foam, rubber or PVC, so that parts can be assembled more conveniently, safely and precisely.

Lamination 02

"Materials united. Combined properties."

The process of joining layers of foam or technical materials by bonding or thermofusion. It allows different properties to be combined in a single component, for example, structural rigidity with surface cushioning, or waterproofness with a premium appearance.

Die-cut

"Volume without sacrificing precision."

Pressure cutting with a tailor-made tool. Ideal for high-volume production where speed is crucial without compromising cutting accuracy. Allows repeatable standardized shapes at low unit cost.

Laser engraving

"The detail that identifies. The mark that remains."

Customization of foams with logos, text, contours and technical identifications using high-precision lasers. The laser response varies depending on the material and color.

DEVELOPMENT

RDI
Research Development and Innovation

SG Foam has an in-house team dedicated to researching new materials, processes and applications. This is where the most complex projects take shape. When the customer brings a requirement with no standard solution, IDI analyzes, tests and validates it before any production takes place. We don’t work on assumptions.

Do you have any technical specifications to share?

Send us the details of your project: material, dimensions, volume and application. We’ll analyze it and respond with a concrete proposal.
